The ABCs of Hand Lettering: The Book Launch

I've been admiring Abbey Sy's work ever since I chanced upon her page on Facebook and since then I've always followed all her (lettering) "adventures". Her art inspires me and makes me happy in some way.

So imagine how thrilled I was when I found out that she created her own book! My golly, I really made an effort to attend her book launch last Saturday at National Bookstore in Glorietta 1. The place was packed! It just goes to show that more and more people are into lettering and are avid fans/followers of Abbey.

I find a lot of people enjoying the art of lettering these days. But like me, most of them don't know where to begin. That's where Abbey's book comes in. It is packed with all the information you need to begin your lettering journey.

  3. Wait-wait.. You're one of the artists featured too! hahah that doodle's so cute.. I admire people who do calligraphy as I feel it takes a lot of patience to do it... All I can do are chicken scratches and I feel that if I did calligraphy I would be frustrated cause I'll be having a lot of mistakes.. Kudos to you dear! :)
