As we enter the summer season, I can't help but get excited as I get to spend more time with my pre-schooler. Since he just celebrated his birthday I wanted to share one of his achievements back when he was just 4 years old.
December last year (2014) we joined this mini Lego contest at Hobbes and Landes Greenbelt, wherein they'll be giving away 10k worth of Lego items to lucky winners! Since the contest was free (yes, no need to purchase anything!) I grabbed the opportunity and quickly signed up!
My MigMig competed with other 4, 5 and 6 year old kids that day. Their category was actually the one with most participants! So I was really nervous. Haha! (Stage Mom alert!) I really wanted him to win since he is also a Lego fanatic.
More than winning I wanted him to enjoy the contest. "The journey is more important than the destination." I was cheering my father and son team so much! Haha!(: all the entries were really cute and unique.
I kept reminding myself that win or lose, its the process and how my son and his dad bonded that day that matters. (:
The theme/challenge for their age group was to build a "House".
We actually weren't expecting him to win since all the other creations were really good! But God heard my silent request and he won! YAY!(:
With the other winners that day and the staff of Hobbes and Landes (:
It was a very fun experience for us especially for my little one. He was really happy and excited the whole time!
Thank you so much Lego and Hobbes and Landes!(:
