Our first staycation for this year happened last Valentine's Day. And I got the perfect hotel to celebrate the day of hearts! The Henry Hotel here in Manila. I've always wanted to experience this hotel but they only had one hotel before in Cebu. So I was really excited when I found out that they are finally here in Manila!
"The Henry Hotel Manila was conceived to provide its guests an entirely unique experience!"
Unique it is!
The moment we entered the gate I felt like I was in a different yet familiar place. Away from the noisy, busy streets of Manila, everything here felt new and refreshing! But I still felt at home.
This is not your ordinary hotel. It's like your favorite grandma's compound which was transformed into a modern-day antique house! And I love the feel of that!
Our room was located on the ground floor. Trust me, it doesn't feel like you're staying in a hotel, but you still get the same comfort and service.
Classic, Suite and Owner's Suite. Those are the types of room you can choose from. Each one was carefully designed by renowned interior and furniture designer Eric Paras bringing in mid-century modern furnishings and blended with modern amenities. We stayed inside the Classic room.
Our room on the ground floor
Very comfortable bed
Cable TV and YES WiFi in your own room for FREE!
The staff shared to us that the chair and cabinet are the "highlights" of our room since they are antique. Don't worry, there were no ghosts during our stay!(;
Bright and Sunny!
I love that you can choose to make the room really bright with the natural light or close the curtains and cuddle in bed.
A touch of Pinoy craftsmanship (look at that pencil and tissue holder)!
Lovin' all the black details
There were complimentary water and coffee. And the small fridge was really cute!
The Bathroom was superb!
The bathroom was really neat! Again, I felt like I was inside my lola's house/bathroom only this one was kept really clean and they added some modern touches to it.
These good-smelling goodies went straight to my bag!
We went around to explore the place. It was really relaxing and quiet. But during our stay they were fully booked so there were really a lot of guests around. Still, you can find a sweet spot to relax and reflect (:
I so wanted to take that scooter for a ride!
There was also a swimming pool in the area. (I don't know why I forgot to take a photo! Haha) But the water was too cold for us to take a dip. Maybe around summer time?(:
The next day we were treated to a breakfast at Apartment 1B! I was too excited as I've always wanted to try Apartment 1B! And it did not disappoint.
They served us salad, fruits, bread and our main dish. Everything was just too yummy! And trust me, you'll feel full until lunch time!
My perfect Sardines Breakfast!
Hubby's Adobo Flakes
One HAPPY Stay!(:
We definitely had a good time and a memorable stay at The Henry Manila!
