Valentines Day need not be sweet... It has to be extra sweet!
Though I don't really give that "much" attention to February 14 (or yes, Valentines Day), I still cannot deny the fact that its Heart's Day and it wouldn't really hurt if we make it a little extra special and celebrate it with our loved one.
So last Friday, me and my hubby had our 1st Valentines Date (as husband and wife) at The Purple Owl. It was a cold and cozy night for us as we drove up to Tagaytay. It has been YEARS since we went to this place (with just the two of us).
The Purple Owl
I really loved how the place was set up. Every detail was well thought of.
Starry, staryy night!
Details play a BIG role to one's feelings. I believe.
As we got to our table, I can't help but notice the details and effort that they put in making this night extra special for us.

Our menu for the night
The night was made even more romantic as the owner's uncle serenaded us with sweet love songs.
Me and the hubby were so excited to try out all the food that The Purple Owl had to offer that night.
Fruits, Sweets and Chocolate!
For starters they gave us a bowl of fresh fruits, some sweets (marshmallow, macaroons) + dark chocolate fondue! It was heavenly! The melted dark chocolate complimented everything that was in the bowl.
After we enjoyed the wonderful bowl of treats, they served us our meal one at a time... First we got a warm bowl of soup, then the fresh salad, a hearty main course and of course the super addicting dessert!
The Wifey's Set!
We absolutely LOVE everything that was served to us. The home-made food was really superb and tasty! Everything was made with love by the owner's mother which was already loved by many even before they opened this quaint restaurant.
After our meal, we decided to explore the place a little and enjoy the cold Tagaytay breeze.
Happy and oh-so-full!(:
FACT: The place was named The Purple Owl because: purple is a magical color and the owner's parents loved collecting owls.
A hot cup of delicious COCO!(:
And what better way to cap off the night than to drink and share a hot cup of coco and coffee with my loved one.
It was indeed one memorable February 14 for us. The Purple Owl's homey ambiance really made us feel comfortable and relaxed all throughout the night.
Everyone should experience and create a memory at this lovely place! It's nice to know also that they will be having their own Bed & Breakfast soon! So watch out for that!(:
